What is workplace wellness? As defined by the Harvard Business Review it is “…an organized, employer-sponsored program that is designed to support employees (and, sometimes, their families) as they adopt and sustain behaviors that reduce health risks, improve quality of life, enhance personal effectiveness, and benefit the organization’s bottom line”. That’s a pretty good definition, however, I’d like to add that workplace wellness is about culture, employee engagement and a company committed to creating a healthy environment for their employees.

Christine was an amazing health coach! I am a 61 year old woman who has suffered from food sensitivities most of my life. I was diagnosed with IBS about 15 years ago, but the only thing the doctors had to offer me were drugs which did not help. So, I just became used to it and suffered along. I often felt tired, dull, listless, headachy, and needed to have a bathroom close by. I even took a mindfulness stress reduction class, which helped immensely! I decided that maybe it was stress that was causing the IBS, so decided I would just have to suffer with the effects forever. After retiring, I decided to try to get to the bottom of what was causing my troubles. I had gotten to the point that I could barely tolerate most foods. I was eating very bland and very limited foods. This is when Christine entered the picture! She was a great listener, and extremely sympathetic. And she did not tell me it was all in my head! Christine and many of her family members had also experienced similar problems, and she had worked herself and her family through it. After a consultation, she had food suggestions, gave me a number of recipes to get me started, and a huge pep talk. I could heal my gut! She advised that I go on a dairy free, gluten free, and sugar free diet for 4-6- weeks. After just three days I felt better then I had in a long time. Because she checked in with me that first week frequently, and offered recipes, and support I was successful. She also recommended some supplements that helped me heal my gut and reduce the yeast build up. I forgot to mention earlier that I was also having trouble sleeping. She said that often people with candida yeast overgrowth had this trouble. I am now at the end of week six and have been sleeping a solid 7-8 hours a night which is a miracle!
Christine was a true gift to me and I cannot recommend her enough. She is kind, compassionate, and a wonderful healer! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is suffering from illness, or just want to become healthier.
